Frequently Ask Questions

  1. Do you supply the tiles, or do I need to buy them myself?
You’re welcome to source your own tiles, but we can also help supply them. Thanks to our trade partnerships, we can often secure better rates from trusted suppliers such as Tile Giant, Topps Tiles, Wickes, Easy Bathrooms, and Porcelanosa Tiles. We’re happy to help you find the right tiles at the best possible price.

  2. Can you help me choose the right tiles for my project? Absolutely! We can advise on tile types, sizes, and finishes that best suit your space, style, and budget. Whether it’s for a bathroom, kitchen, or hallway, we’ll help you choose tiles that look great and perform well in your space.

  3. What materials do you provide for the job?
We can supply everything needed for your installation — from adhesives and grout to trims, waterproofing, and decoupling membranes. We only use professional-grade products to ensure your new floor or wall finish lasts for years.
If we are supplying any materials, these will need to be agreed and specified at least one week before the installation date so that we can organise delivery and ensure everything is ready to keep your project on track.

  4. What is a decoupling membrane, and do I need one?
A decoupling membrane is a specialist layer installed between your subfloor and tiles. It helps prevent cracks caused by movement, temperature changes, or slight shifts in the floor.
It also provides an added waterproof barrier, which is especially useful in bathrooms, wet rooms, and kitchens.
We’ll assess your subfloor and let you know if a decoupling membrane is recommended for your project.

  5. Can you install a decoupling membrane for me?
Yes — we regularly install decoupling membranes as part of our professional tiling service. They offer both movement protection and waterproofing, extending the lifespan of your tiles and protecting your subfloor.

  6. I’ve already bought tiles — can you still install them?
Of course! We’re happy to install tiles you’ve already purchased. However, if you haven’t ordered yet, we may be able to save you money by helping you buy through our trade accounts and supplier discounts.

  7. How long will my tiling project take?
The timescale depends on the size and complexity of the job, but most domestic projects are completed within a few days. We’ll always provide a clear and realistic schedule before starting work.

  8. Do you offer advice on preparation or subfloor issues?
Yes — proper preparation is essential for a long-lasting finish. We’ll check your floor or walls, repair or level them if needed, and make sure they’re suitable for tiling before installation begins.

  9. Do you offer waterproofing for bathrooms or wet areas?
Yes, we install waterproof membranes and tanking systems in wet rooms, showers, and bathrooms to ensure your tiling stays watertight and durable. When used alongside a decoupling membrane, this provides maximum protection against water damage and movement.

  10. What’s included in your quote?
Your quote will include all labour, materials, and preparation required for your specific job. You’ll always know the full price upfront, with no hidden extras.
Only unexpected work beyond the original scope may be charged in addition, but we will always provide a clear quote for any extra work before it begins.
Our terms and conditions will be provided along with your estimate, so you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s included before any work starts.

  11. Do I need to be at home during the install?
No, you don’t need to be at home while we’re working. However, we do encourage leaving us a key just in case we need to leave the property or accidentally get locked out (which has happened before). This helps keep the project running smoothly without unnecessary delays.
